Photo Transfer Craft Class November 27, 2012

When: THIS Sunday, December 2nd at 3:00 pm
Where: Martin Fire Station – 998 Templeton; Martin, MI 49070

Katie and Korene are holding an instructional photo transfer craft class. Photo transferring is the process of transferring an inkjet printout onto a piece of wood. We’ll show you step by step how to achieve this rustic technique. You’ll leave the session with one fully completed project and one to finish at home. Even if you don’t consider yourself a crafter, don’t fret – we’ll help you along the way.

What we need from you:

  1. Email 2 high resolution images to: Photos MUST be high resolution. If it doesn’t look pretty on your screen, it’s NOT going to get any better when we print it out. Not sure if it’s high enough res, send it and we’ll check it out. We need to receive the emailed photos no later than Thursday, November 29th.
  2. Cost for the session is $20 per person. Please bring payment to the craft class.
  3. Feel free to bring your own treats and drinks. No alcoholic beverages, please. The facility won’t allow alcoholic beverages.
  4. We ask that we keep the session for adults only (no kids please). Teens 13 and up are welcome to attend, but must be accompanied by a paid adult. Feel free to invite friends.

We also want to add that this is a very rustic technique. Imagery will NOT be 100% photographic.

There will be a table set out if you would like to display a flyer/brochure of what you do. Are you an exercise instructor, writer of a magazine, the head of an organization? Bring a brochure or flyer to display on the table.

If all goes well, we would like to host other craft sessions. We are entertaining the idea of our next session pertaining to bottle cap art. Which would entail creating bottle cap magnets and/or necklace. Let us know if this sounds neat to you.

Any questions, feel free to email Katie and Korene at:

We are very pumped up! Can’t wait to see you all 🙂

Do you have a sample of your work/class finished product?

Hi Ann. I actually had given all my samples away as gifts so I had to request some back in order to display them for the class. Katie and I are in the process of working on samples for the class which is this upcoming weekend. We will be working on a post for photo transferring as well, and I will make sure to have many photos.

This class was SO fun! Korene & Katie did a great job teaching us how to transfer photos to wood. They gave great pointers or hints, and I felt comfortable leaving there and feeling like I could do this by myself at home! I recommend to anyone interested in learning what they are making at a class, to attend. Well worth the money, and the time with friends and family is priceless!
